Maine Black Bears Sled Hockey Program

Andy executes sharp turnMarch 1, 2007: I was thinking about the proposed change to the format of the Prudential Northeast Sled Hockey League and the amount of rule and format change mid-season is mind boggling. From my prospective it would seem reasonable to make changes to the format or rules as necessary during the season by unanimous vote and unanimous vote only. That way the league could ensure that there is no eastern block trying benefit themselves while throwing someone else under the bus. During the off season, rule and format changes can still be made by majority vote. But during the season if it is not unanimous vote generally someone is getting screwed. If there was something that came up during the course of the season that all agreed upon would benefit the league and not just one or two teams than a unanimous vote would not be hard to get. If there is opposition to it (votes against) the rule stays and it is addressed at season's end. This would ensure that there is no changing the rules mid season so certain teams have a better chance of winning. This changing rules and formats mid season to benefit one or two teams is bunk, and ultimately the league is going to be worse off for it.

That's just my opinion.
